Packing - Women - Warm Weather
The definition of 'warm' is different for everyone. For me it's weather in which I can comfortably wear a tank top!
This is an example of what I would take on a 2-3 week trip (with access to laundry facilities) and carry-on sized luggage. This is almost exactly what I took to Spain in the summer where the temperatures averaged between 25 and 37 °C (77-98°F).
- 1 skirt
- 2 lightweight dresses*
- 1 convertible skirt* (can be worn as a long skirt or short dress)
- 1 walking short (knee length, dressier)
- 1 pants
- 2 tank tops
- 2 t-shirts
- 2 bras (that work with your shirts!)
- 6 underwear
- socks - number depends on your footwear (but I always love a pair of fuzzy socks for relaxing)
- 1 pyjamas (*I like a pair of capri comfy sweat pants that do double duty for afternoon relaxing)
- 2 lightweight sweaters (or a pashmina type shawl)
- 1 bathing suit (if bikini, take two different style tops that go with the same bottom)
- 1 beach cover-up (preferably double duty one of your skirts/dresses already packed)
- 3 shoes (lightweight flip flops for beach, walking sandals, dressier shoes)
- lightweight travel umbrella
- sunglasses/hat
- jewelery (few pairs of earrings, long necklace, short necklace, bracelets) *fun opportunity to buy souvenirs!
- accessories (belt, thin scarves)
- toiletries
If you don't enjoy (or feel comfortable) in dresses and/or skirts, trade the 2 dresses for 2 pairs of dressier shorts and light tops.
