I have always been an excellent procrastinator.  In university you knew I had a huge exam the next day if you could smell fresh baked cookies coming from my apartment.  And why does facebook seem extra appealing when you have a giant stack of papers to file and piles of unopened mail staring at you?  I know I am not alone in this affliction but that does not make it any less of an issue I need to work on.

Tomorrow is my final Italian class and I am supposed to do a presentation on Italian cinema.  This is a continuing education course and although there isn't any worry of failing and getting kicked out of school I'd still like to put together something decent.  I'd like to prove to my teacher that I really did learn something in the last 4 months (and avoiding embarrassment would also be nice).  The issue I'm having is that for some reason this presentation is not preparing itself!  I actually know very little (ie - nothing) about Italian cinema except for that cute movie "Life is Beautiful" that I remember watching years ago.  Oh, and Sophia Lauren is Italian - I think.  Julia Roberts had that role in Eat, Pray, Love but I have a feeling that doesn't fall under 'Italian cinema' any more than that Hilary Duff movie that takes place in Rome does.  (The Lizzie McGuire Movie - my kids loved it!)

So, instead of working on my presentation I am writing a blog post, although to be fair a new post was kind of on my to-do list anyway.  And now I have a hankering for warm oatmeal cookies… old habits die hard!

Enough from me, off I go - thank goodness for wikipedia and google translate!  How did we live with that old fashioned way of looking things up in books and having to actually think?

Fino alla prossima volta….
